HISTORICAL SYNOPSIS OF THE FOUNDATION CENTER OF ALTERNATIVE MEDICAL RESEARCH CINMA

As a result of the convocation made by the Anthropologist Hernán Buitrago Ramirez to Presbyter and Sociologist Jesus Jairo Gomez Angel Ph.D.; to the Agricultural Engineer Adriano Garcia Moreno M.S.C. ex Dean of Agricultural Sciences Faculty, now Vice rectory of Universidad Nacional de Colombia- Headquarters Palmira; to the Agricultural Engineer Gabriel De La Cruz M.S.C. Ex-Vice rector of the same University; to the Professor José Otocar Barth Reina Barth, also of the U.N. ; to Roberto Otero, official Anthropologist of the Planning Office of Cauca Valley Department; to Mrs. Maria Teresa Ramirez Salazar, Philanthropist, and to a distinguished group of Palmira people, journalists and managers, It was born in March 25 of 1993 in the room of the Honorable Municipal Town council of Palmira, the Center of Alternative Medical research CIMA, today Foundation CINMA.

By means of Resolution number 0056 on February 14th, 1994, the Government of the Cauca Valley Department Approves the Legal License of CINMA, news that is published in the Departmental Gazette of Cali in April 15 of 1994, year LXXXIII number 4925, page 440; Being the founder, legal representative and Executive Director the Anthropologist Hernán Buitrago Ramirez, accompanied by the following dignitaries of the First Directive Meeting: Executive Sub director: Aída Miranda Lawyer; General secretary: Presbyter Jesus Jairo Gomez Angel; Treasurer: Agricultural engineer Adriano Garcia; Chief Medical-Anthropological research Division: Anthropologist Roberto Otero; Chief Communitarian Development and Environmental politics Division : Engineer José Otocar Barth Reigns; Chief Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Division: Gabriel De La Cruz

On August 16, 1995 in the Lions Center Club of Palmira city, the Foundation CINMA introduced to its associates and the Cauca Valley people the Institutional Project for the creation of an Ethno medical and cross-cultural Research Center. Then, it was settle down four high-priority lines of research: Amazonian Herbal Medicine, American Mestizo Ethno Medicine, Oriental Ethno medicine and Ethno psychotherapy and Trans culturatión. Out of the project certificatory courses Born about Ethnology and Ethno psychoanalysis, Trans cultural Shamanism, Holistic Physiotherapy and Holistic Kinesiology.

Starting from this point, under the direction of the Anthropologist Buitrago Ramirez, it is carried out interinstitutional agreements and strategic associations with public and private entities for the promotion of the programs and services: Hospital San Vicente de Paul of Palmira, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Headquarters Palmira, Centro Regional Para el Desarrollo de la Salud-CENTRA, of the Ministry of Health, Centro Experimental Piloto CEP of the Ministry of National Education, Universidad Luis Amigo Headquarters Palmira, of Padres Terciarios Capuchinos.

From 1994 so far, the Foundation CINMA offers seminars, Work Outs, conferences, certificatory courses, consultant ships and Advisement, gratuitous and financed by the group of active Partners, or with the logistical support of the signatory entities of the agreements. In 1995, it was carried out the International Seminar on the System Ushui of Treatment Reiki, with the visit of three specialists, two Americans and a Canadian, with the patronage of a palmirano manager. From 1994 to 2007, the topics object of extension include Ethno scientific Research, Amazonian Ethno botany, Ethno ecology, Acupuncture, Ethno psychoanalytic Schools, Psichopedagogy cabinet, bio energetic massage and sexuality, Floral essences, Holistic Physiotherapy, Holistic Kinesiology, Transactional analysis, Group Psychotherapy and Development of the Human Potential, Popular Symbolic Systems, Complex Thought.

As product of these programs of Extension, the Foundation CINMA has compiled the proceedings of CINMA Seminars about Amazonian Herbal Medicine on the psychotropic vine Yagé (Banisteriopsis caapi sp) in the Book “Etno ciencias y Yagé”

For this year that runs, the foundation CINMA plans to introduce a new research field, that of the molecular natural medicine represented by the Regenerative Medicine.

Right now both, the academic and administrative structure of CINMA are guided to be consolidated as an organization in the Cyberspace by means of a Virtual Technological Platform PTV. This strategy looks for to optimize the acting of the financial units, of research, Education and of Institutional services. This is a model of Managerial Organization that includes the personal multimedia, the computing in work groups, the managerial info structure, computing among enterprises and the World Net as media base; what constitutes an opportunity for the realization of the comparative advantages that It have the organizations where is primary and prevails as strength the “Know-How", and that they don't have a complex physical infrastructure; the one that limits but that facilitates the efficient copartner ship with the new Intelligent Companies and of the Learning. That is to say, the PTV favors to the companies without original accumulation of capital, inside the context of the managerial paradigms of the contemporary Globalization.
